Most defiantly having a purple patch, having already provided two of the years biggest house tracks (and we are only three months in), W&O Street Tracks release a brace of tracks from rising stars, Krywald & Farrer.

Having already lit the dance sales charts already this year with singles from Will Easton and Waze & Odyssey, it’s now the turn of British duo Krywald & Farrer to shine on the Street Tracks label, with their own brand of dark and deadly tribal rhythms. As regular musical contributors to Rob Da Bank’s Silver Bear Records, Gottwood Festival’s own imprint Gottwax, and their own Persie Edits label; the pair flex their musical chops on ‘La Tolita’.

The lead track blends heavyweight drums and gnarly bass with a myriad of street carnival sounds, creating an infectious riot of percussion, resonated stabs and syrupy wind instruments. And on ‘Foli Djembe’, mystic tribal drums are rolled out over a simple yet effective sample based arrangement, its moody organ stabs providing just the smallest touch of instrumentation in this well executed percussive monster!
