Following on from Rami Imam’s debut release on Street Tracks last month, one of the UK’s most exciting new talents, Eli Brown, revisits ‘Low On Cyan’ with a brand new remix.
Having bolted out of the blocks in 2016 with his first ever release on Skream’s Of Unsound Mind label, Eli Brown as since chalked up an impressive catalogue of original music and remixes for the likes of Lee Foss’s Repopulate Mars, Truesoul, Relief Records and Sola.
Brown adds chunky and rolling beats to Rami’s staccato synth riff, which made the original such an epic and standout piece of music. Deploying a bustling bassline and some soaring drum rolls, Brown delivers a decidedly housier take with his remix, but maintains the drama and grandiose to be found in the original mix.
A terrific minimal house EP that strips everything back to the essentials: a faint hint of synth and a big, driving beat. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 6, 2024
